Actually we don’t care so much about when the ad was posted, but rather how it has been performing lately.
Let me give you an example:
Ad 1 – posted 1 year ago 12 million total views, 6.7 million views in the last month
Ad 2 – posted 1 month ago 2 million views.
Both ads ads are good and both would make it onto our platform. However, of the two ads, if we was to choose one as the ‘Winning Facebook Ad’ it would definitely be Ad 1, because it has better performance both overall and recently.
